Nobody likes having stained teeth, but over-the-counter whitening products and whitening toothpastes rarely produce great results.
At Beaufort River Dental, Dr. David Babb helps his patients achieve brighter smiles with professional in-office and at-home teeth whitening.

We Offer Two Forms of Teeth Whitening
In-Office Whitening with Zoom!

Zoom!® in-office tooth whitening can brighten your smile by up to eight shades in less than an hour. This is a great option for patients who want whiter teeth as soon as possible. Many patients choose a Zoom! teeth whitening session a few days before a big event like a wedding or a job interview.
At-Home Whitening with Opalescence

For a more gradual tooth whitening process, we offer take-home whitening with Opalescence®. We can use a 3-D printer to create whitening trays that fit your teeth perfectly, and we'll provide instructions so you can achieve the bright smile you want in the comfort of your own home.

Real 5-Star Reviews "You Will Not Be Disappointed!"
Thank you Beaufort River Dental, Dr. Babb & Staff for the most comfortable and relaxed dental visit that I’ve ever experienced! Wether a routine clean to more complex procedures, I’ve been overly pleased with Dr. Babb’s attention to detail and perfection. A relaxing environment with a friendly, professional staff that is extremely considerate of my dental anxiety. We highly recommend!
View On GoogleAbsolutely fantastic! I practiced dentistry for 40 years before retiring. My only hope is that I gave my patients the same welcoming and excellent care I received from Dr Babb and his wonderful staff yesterday. The hygienist, Callie is the best ever with her thorough gentle cleaning. The office is immaculate and totally updated to offer their patients the best in dental care. You will not be disappointed!

How does whitening gel work?
The gel used in the Zoom! teeth whitening process contains hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is present in most professional and over-the-counter whitening products. It works well to brighten teeth because it dissolves molecules that cause stains.
What does the light do?
The Zoom! system uses a blue LED lamp because LED light speeds up the chemical reactions that allow hydrogen peroxide to dissolve stains in teeth. The use of LED light is what enables Zoom! teeth whitening to produce such impressive results in such a short amount of time.
Do You Qualify for Teeth Whitening?
Most teens and adults are candidates for professional teeth whitening as long as they are in good oral health. When you first visit Beaufort River Dental, Dr. Babb will conduct a thorough examination of your teeth and gums to determine what types of dentistry you qualify for.
If we detect issues such as decay, gum disease, or a tooth infection, we must treat those concerns before we proceed with teeth whitening, but don't worry. We won't have to send you somewhere else. We offer comprehensive dental care, so we can perform all necessary treatments at our Beaufort office. We even provide advanced services like dental implants and dentures.

What Does Teeth Whitening Cost?
Teeth whitening at Beaufort River Dental typically costs between $250 and $500. Because the treatment is purely cosmetic, your dental insurance won't contribute to teeth whitening. However, the results of professional whitening are so impressive that most patients consider it a worthwhile investment.
We Also Offer Porcelain Veneers
Unfortunately, some stains are too deep for even professional tooth whitening. And of course, whitening treatment can't do anything for a tooth that is chipped or cracked. That's why Dr. Babb encourages many of his patients interested in cosmetic dentistry to consider porcelain veneers.
A veneer is a thin porcelain shell that Dr. Babb can attach to the surface of an imperfect tooth. Dentists use veneers to obscure chips, cracks, stains, and misshapen teeth. Veneers can even be used to address minor misalignment or gapped teeth.
Beyond veneers, Dr. Babb also offers crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants. No matter your dental care needs, the team at Beaufort River Dental has a solution that can give you a healthy, beautiful smile.

"I Highly Recommend Them!"
It is always a pleasure visiting Dr. Babb and his staff! They are all very nice and have great attitudes. I have had a cleaning done by Amber, who was very thorough and gentle. I also recently had veneers put on my front 2 teeth by Dr. Babb and Andrea, and I can't even tell that they aren't real. Better yet, my wife was amazed at the quality of work and how well the color matched my natural teeth. Very good work from the entire staff, I will definitely be going back to Beaufort River Dental!
I've tried a few dentists in Beaufort and Dr Babb and the staff are on a different level. Super friendly, professional, thorough, and they answered all my questions. My Hygeinist was awesome! I highly recommend them!
