What Can Dental Veneers Do for Me?

Comprehensive Coverage

This unique treatment is one of the most versatile and drastic cosmetic treatments that any dentist can offer. While teeth whitening addresses discoloration and bonding can correct minor aesthetic issues, veneers can completely reshape and brighten an individual tooth or your entire smile. It’s no wonder that celebrities and actors turn cosmetic dentistry to revamp their smiles.

Natural-Looking Results

Dr. Babb can customize your veneers to deliver drastic results while still blending in with the contours and color of your natural smile. Our office offers porcelain veneers and e.max (lithium disilicate), both of which match the color and natural reflective qualities of enamel.

Long-Lasting Benefits

Although a veneer can be a financial investment, they are also highly durable and long-lasting. With proper maintenance and oral hygiene habits, they can easily last 10 or more years. You will be given detailed instructions on how to take care of your veneers and extend their life as long as possible.

Improved Self-Confidence

Numerous studies have found that an attractive smile conveys confidence, intelligence, and beauty. If yellow or discolored teeth leave you looking older than you actually are, a veneer treatment can restore your youthful appearance and self-esteem.

I have beautiful teeth now thanks to Dr. Babb! I had neglected my teeth for almost 2 years while taking care of elderly and I'll parents. I had a partial that was 15 years old and falling apart in my mouth. I also needed a crown and a root canal. I had a big event 3 weeks after my initial visit, and Dr. Babb and his staff went out of their way and even came in when the office was closed, ju to get my teeth fixed before my event.  Trustworhy, knowledgeable, friendly and caring, with state-of-the-art equipment - what a great addition to Beaufort! If you need a dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Babb.

Very personable and friendly office!  Dr. Babb and hygienist Callie were great- knowledgeable and professional. Discussed an expensive procedure recommended by a different dentist. Dr Babb reviewed the pros and cons and even though going ahead with the procedure would be good for revenue, he advised against it at this time. Doing what is best for one's patients is good medicine/dentistry.  I highly recommend this practice!

How Are Veneers Placed?

Preparing the Tooth

Before your dental veneer can be made, your individual tooth or teeth will first need to be prepared to make room for it. This step is completed using local anesthesia so that you remain comfortable.

Impressions

Once a portion of your enamel has been removed, an impression of your tooth will be taken, from which your veneer will be fabricated.

Fabrication

Our office offers veneers made from porcelain or durable e.max. If you opt for e.max, we can mill your veneer right here in our office and place it during the same appointment. If not, we will send the impression to our off-site lab for fabrication.

Fitting

Whether you opt for e.max or porcelain, you doctor will ensure that the shells are a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing fit before attaching them using a strong cement.

Care Instructions

You will be given detailed instructions by a member of our dental team on how to care for and maintain your veneers.
